Our experiment model is the rete mirabile (RM; gas glands) from Japanese eel,a RM is composed of vascular capillaries, the tissue structures are a vein capillary surrounded by six artery capillaries, vice versa. This structure is like a heat exchanger to ensure the maximal efficiency of gas secretion into the swimming-bladder. So, the RM is a good model to study the capillary angiogenesis.
Our recently results on RM sections from the eel treated by hypophyseal extracts to stimulate the development of RM (angiogenesis):
the intact eel:
the treatment group
the treatment group plus testosterone
so can you distinguish the differences among them?
